Pvc Decking
Is it permissible to connect a spa with a non-metallic conduit above ground (mounted on an exterior wall of the house)?
Installation Planning spa. I've done before, but always buried conduit. With the location of existing utilities would be very difficult. It seems easier to comply with the house and under the bridge. The location is such that the material damage and sunlight should be minimized. What do you think? Also, does anyone know what the electrical code says about this plan? On the use of 6AWG 1 1 / 4 or 1 1 / 2 sunlight resistant gray PVC pipe. I thank you in advance for your contribution. Craig Yes to GFCI. Code requires a stoppage of more than 5 feet, but less than 15 meters from the spa. I thought going with a "package" of Lowe's or Home Depot that has the box and 50A GFCI breaker.
My husband is an electrician, and he looked in the code book to the most recent response to this question. He said he could not find something that says this is not acceptable.
